Are you on the lookout for a credit card that rewards you for shopping at Walmart? Look no further than the Walmart Rewards Mastercard! With this no-fee credit card, you can earn Walmart Reward Dollars on all your purchases at Walmart stores or online at Walmart.ca. The best part? You can redeem these dollars for purchases at any Walmart store or on Walmart.ca.

Two Versions to Choose From

The Walmart Rewards Mastercard comes in two versions: the regular Walmart Rewards Mastercard and the Walmart Rewards World Mastercard. The main difference between them lies in the income requirement and the perks they offer. While the standard version has no income requirement, you need a minimum annual household income of $100,000 to qualify for the World version. Additionally, the World version comes with extended warranty and purchase protection benefits, giving you added peace of mind.

Earn and Redeem Easily

Both versions of the card offer the same earning rates in-store. You’ll get 1.25% back in Walmart Reward Dollars on purchases made at Walmart stores or online (3% on the World Mastercard), and 1% back on purchases everywhere else Mastercard is accepted. Plus, for added convenience, you can earn 1% back on gas purchases at gas stations with the regular card, and 1.25% on the World Mastercard. And redeeming your Walmart Reward Dollars is a breeze: 1 Walmart Reward Dollar equals $1 to spend at Walmart, and you can redeem them in $5 increments.

Welcome Offers for New Cardholders

As a new cardholder, you can take advantage of some welcome offers with the Walmart Rewards Mastercard. By applying online and making a qualifying purchase within 30 days of account opening, you can receive up to $45 in bonus Walmart Reward Dollars. Additionally, you may enjoy a promotional interest rate depending on the active offers.

Choosing the Perfect Rewards Credit Card

If you’re considering a rewards credit card, there are several factors to remember to ensure you make the right choice. Here are some key considerations:

1. Annual Fee vs. Rewards and Perks

Some cards charge an annual fee, which could impact the overall value of your rewards. However, don’t let that discourage you, as some cards may offer higher reward rates or other perks that easily justify the fee. Weigh the annual fee against the expected rewards and benefits to see if it aligns with your spending habits and preferences.

2. Rewards Rate

The rewards rate is crucial in determining how much you earn back for every dollar spent. Some cards offer a flat rate for all purchases, while others have different rates for specific categories like groceries, gas, dining, etc. Pick a card that aligns with your spending patterns and offers the highest rewards rate for the categories you frequently spend on.

3. Redemption Options

Flexibility in redeeming your rewards is a significant advantage. Some cards offer cashback as a statement credit or a cheque, while others provide travel points or miles redeemable for flights, hotels, car rentals, and more. Choose a card that offers versatile and valuable redemption options that match your travel goals and preferences.

4. Additional Benefits

Beyond rewards, some cards come with extra perks that can elevate your savings and travel experience. These may include insurance coverage, airport lounge access, concierge service, and more. Look for a card that offers benefits most relevant and beneficial to your lifestyle.
